Potatoes in Practice - Dundee 2008

Potatoes in Practice, Britain�s most important potato field event in 2008, takes place at Gourdie Farm, Dundee on Thursday August 7th and the Higgins Group will again be exhibiting both indoors and outdoors.



The event which has grown in popularity over the last few years is a combination of exhibition, seminars, seed demonstration plots and field trials.



This year�s event is linked to the International Year of the Potato Dinner and Conference being held on the night of the 7th and during the day of the 8th August. A host of visitors are expected including a substantial trade mission from China.



The Higgins presence will include Managing Director, David Higgins, Technical Director Graeme Byers and Seed Manager Stephen North.



Technical Director Graeme notes �We grew trial plots on the site last year and were very pleased with the results and interest shown in them. Linking the exhibition to the dinner and conference should increase visitor numbers and give an international flavour to the event�.
