Stamp out potato disease with new Higgins Group testing service

As is to be expected of a company which has grown to become one of Europe�s leading potato supply companies, The Higgins Group has invested heavily in the in-house disease testing of its seed stocks, and its research and testing laboratories in Elgin, Scotland are highly regarded within the agricultural industry.



Using these testing facilities and highly skilled laboratory staff, The Higgins Group has now launched a comprehensive disease testing service for commercial growers which includes:

� blackleg testing

� washed brock assessment

� bruising test

� hotbox test

� dry rot species analysis



There is also the option of a full stock assessment which includes hotboxing, dry matter and blackleg tests and requires 40kg of randomly sampled tubers. Fry testing can also be carried out by arrangement.
