Higgins Business Expansion in East Anglia

The Higgins Group is pleased to announce that Shaun Langley will be joining the company on Monday 14 January 2008.

As large scale growers of potatoes ourselves, Higgins recognises the need to address rising production costs and to form long term supply partnerships with our contract growers. We will achieve our potato tonnage needs only by managing a mix of own growing and direct contract operations and by offering a grower package of support and value that addresses the realities of potato production in 2008 and beyond.



To deliver this grower support and to manage our own production operations we can announce some exciting new developments.



We are setting up a business unit in the Kings Lynn area to cover our operations across the whole of the South East. This unit will be headed up by Shaun Langley, Operations Manager. Shaun will need no introduction to most of potato growers in East Anglia. He comes with a formidable track record and expertise in potato supply. Together with the existing team and new staff, he will be using the current platform of successful grower partnerships to expand our supply operation across the region.



The production opportunities are varied and exciting and will deliver a sustainable potato production business to the area.



Supported by the highly experienced Higgins Group and underpinned by our long term supply relationships with some of the best known, most stable food companies in the world, Shaun will join the Senior Management Team and his business unit will build a highly successful supply operation in your area. Certainly as others falter this is surely needed.



Shaun will continue his current relationships, growing operations, grading and handling work as well as developing the Higgins processing supply chain.
